I think I speak for everyone who has admired Momoko's amazing makeup & thought 'why doesn't she release a makeup or lash line already?' when I say that the news of a MURUA lash line as a reality completely made my year ༼இɷஇ༽  There are 5 sets, including 3 upper lashes (1st photo, top row, left to right: Dolly Eye, Noble Eye, Classical Eye) & 2 lower lashes (1st photo, bottom row, left to right: Retro Eye, Glamorous Eye.) 

The ad campaign Momoko shot follows the Dolly Wink model in that she shows several ways to utilise the top & bottom lashes for different looks. She posted some fabulous close-up shots of the specific campaign looks here, but my favourite by far is the Classical Eye x Glamorous Eye~

If I'm ever able to get my hands on any of these, those are the sets I am buying for sure.

Classy + Adult

vintage handmade sweater, used slip, Bebe boots from 2005

Being away from the internet for a few days & back 1 year older always leaves me slightly discombobulated & strangely refreshed. Thankfully our wireless is back up & running though because I feel like I have way too much to catch up with now! This sweater was one of my first super lucky finds from late summer but it's finally cold enough to wear it now. It's also the pièce de résistance in recreating the fabulous DURAS oversized knit look from my fall wish list. I love how my closet is turning into a study in cream & ivory against the ever-present black too, haha.

Brun et Vert

Words cannot describe how happy I am to be a brunette again. I think I got a little carried away with going blonde this year, so it's nice to get back to myself. Also amused by how many people responded with, 'Oh, this colour suits you so much' ༼இɷஇ༽

Totally in love with my new Muppets jacket from Motel that's freakishly similar to the one Abbey Lee wore here too. I think it'll actually stand up quite nicely in the coming winter months. For now though, I admit to freely lounging around the house in it.

Naturally there is a tumblr dedicated to braids. & why not? They are the best way to liven up a boring hair day without putting on a hat. I just wish I didn't have pathetically thin hair so I could do one thick gorgeous tail instead of settling for tiny ones thrown in sporadically.

vintage floral blouse + Forever 21 maxi skirt

The cut of this top is so 80's, I love it~ voluminous shoulders + corset-like pointy hem. Not to mention the bold black & white floral pattern is really reminiscent of this EMODA knit. Sans the huge lace granny collar for a slightly more sophisticated look.

& yes, I do have a shocking pink bed complete with furry & heart-shaped pillows ♥ How is that for sophisticated?

Channeling my inner flower child yesterday while finding ways to utilise the pieces I already have in my wardrobe with new & interesting basics. Like this amazing silk cut-out back blouse from American Gold, one of my new favourite indie brands. They really do have the whole sexy-witchy-Earth-goddess-y vibe down to an art.

Hard to believe this is my first twin code of 2011... Thank you for offering to do one with me, bloomzy! ♥ I'm so happy we both shared a love for the star print dresses this year via Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2011. I also love how we unknowingly executed an almost perfect twin coordinate since our dresses are similar styles & we chose a basic black shoe for footwear. bloomzy's accessories are to die for though & I love the pop of red with her belt! Her look is so expertly crafted & definitely stands out ヽ(•̀ω•́ )/ ♥

So a long while back, I tweeted that I wanted to get something special from ASOS... This star print dress was it. I actually found a bunch of star print items all over the place, but this dress' particular print was the closest to the one on the DRWCYS dress I posted in my fall wish list. Paired it with used oxfords & slouchy socks. Totally bitingchanneling Rinka's look from the DRWCYS campaign with my favourite floppy hat too, haha.

L'Oréal Paris x Project Runway: Colors Take Flight

I used to be such a devout fan of Project Runway until they moved it from the Bravo network to Lifetime ༼ƪɷ∫༽ For some reason I just can't bring myself to watch that network...

Anyway, apparently Project Runway teamed up with L'Oréal to create 4 distinct capsule collections inspired by flying fowls~ Charming Cockatoo, Watchful Owl, Audacious Amazon & Sultry Raven. Each collection contains a lipstick, blush, 2 nails colours & an eyeshadow palette. They all look absolutely gorgeous, but I was drawn to the Watchful Owl collection because of its neutral tones & picked up the Pout & Blush ♥ The blush is the perfect autumn rose colour I've been searching for & the lipstick is an equally delicious deep brick red. I'll probably snap proper photos of these in use over the weekend since I tend to keep my work makeup pretty boringtame (read: foundation & a sweep of mascara & bronzer) during the week.

I am so in love with this skirt which is the same one from this post. It makes me want to run outside & twirl in a forest of falling leaves. No, seriously.

The mustard top was another great find from my festival vintage shopping. Did some more damage this weekend that I can't wait to style, including a decidedly very 80's corset-cut floral blouse that I swear Ena Matsumoto would send out to her EMODA designers for mass production if she saw it.

A peek at what I usually wear to work aka average OL-kei ༼ƪɷ∫༽ I've actually tried to make an effort since I started my new job to dress a little more stylish though. More like CanCam & less like a person who has given up on life & only wears whatever is clean, haha. I bought this skirt at H&M in NYC over the summer, & the top & handbag are from the amazing vintage sales I went to at a local fall festival last weekend. I spent a total of 2$ for both. Mum would be proud of my mad money-saving skills lately.
