ViVi has featured actual Jeffrey Campbell shoes in past issues (example here),  but this latest issue was full of JC wannabes by various Japanese brands. I think it's safe to say Japan ♥'s JC as much as I do!

Just thought it was interesting to share

Dear Laura Bambi Lashes

 Flash, without, closed

I promise to post other things besides these lash reviews, but I feel sort of compelled to finish out 'the series' since I went & bought so many pairs, haha ☆ﾐヾ(#`Д´)σ[ノ ヽ``┼┐！] 

I don't have much to say about these lashes after wearing the Rabbit ones because they're basically the same~ the only difference is these are slightly more natural-looking with the open eye. They still have a great sweeping length though, which I love ♥

That said, I'll probably skip reviewing the Chiwawa lashes unless anyone really feels like seeing them, haha (￣▼￣)ノ＿彡☆ばんばん！

In other news, I made my decision regarding the JC's & hopefully they'll be coming in this week ♪(ﾟ▽^*)ﾉ⌒☆ I also have something else I'm dying to share on here but I'm trying to be more creative with my photos & such, so we'll see what happens!

Dear Laura Gyaru Fashion + Glamorous Eyelashes

With flash, without, closed, ＼（○＾ω＾○）／ 

Please to be enjoying my first attempt at lower lashes, haha! I used Maybelline Lash Stiletto eyeliner instead of my go-to Stila smudge pot but I think I'm running out because the line looks half-assed ☆ﾐヾ(#`Д´)σ[ノ ヽ``┼┐！] 

Anyway, the 2 sets I used to create this look are the Gyaru Fashion uppers & Glamorous lower~

I'm really pleased with both of these sets & I think they go amazingly well together ♥ The Gyaru Fashion set has a really thick black lash band which saves you from having to totally line your upper lid (though I think I could have filled mine in a bit more, buu) & I love how dramatic they are. 

The Glamorous lowers were surprisingly easy to put on & I'm shocked that my first attempt came out not too horrible! These have a nice clear lash band so they don't look as obviously fake & blended well with my natural lower lashes. I'd definitely recommend these for anyone who's apprehensive about using lowers for the first time & wants an easy, pretty look.

The Best 0.99¢ I Ever Spent

Rumble, IcePenguin, Morotan's Milk, Umeboshi.

Spent partmost of my weekend playing with the amazingly addictive CAMERAtan app Jenny blogged about here ♡ Among the random things I snapped~ leather pants, rings from Target & Forever 21, huge ethnic hoop earrings, & Lita boots that made a surprise appearance this winter.

I'm also pretty amazed at the quality of my iPod Touch's camera~ super-useful since my Sony CyberShot is starting to die a slow painful death ☆ﾐヾ(#`Д´)σ[ノ ヽ``┼┐！]

Dear Laura Rabbit Lashes

With flash, without, closed, bonus shot with fucked-up fake Minx nails.

Since 2011 is the year of the rabbit, I thought I would try out the Rabbit lashes from my Dear Laura collection first! These are part of the Soft lovely brown series & actually blend with my natural black lashes pretty nicely. As you can see, they're more obvious in the flash photo but not so much in the regular lighting ones ♥ I really like their super-long length despite the fact that they're a bit plastic-y & the lash band is a little stiff... But at 3.50$ a set, you get what you pay for haha~

Please to not judge too harshly on their wonky placement because this was a super-rushed makeup job ☆ﾐヾ(#`Д´)σ[ノ ヽ``┼┐！] I promise to do a better job aka actually take my time next time!

& to make up for these sorry photos, here are some bonus code shots from Sunday~

Cropped knit top from SPICY HOLIC, used layering tank, maxi skirt from F21, vintage print scarf.

Everyone should buy this sweater, haha~ it's super-warm & totally reminds me of this Alexander Wang knit Rumi Neely wore here ♥ I can't wait to use it as a transition piece into spring~

JJ Spring 2011 Trend Preview

The February 2011 issue of JJ was full of spring goodness, so I just had to share ＼（○＾ω＾○）／ 

I don't know why it is that I start to get spring fever in the middle of January every year, but I'm already seeing lots of pieces here that will be making it into my spring wardrobe soon! 

Spring is always a very girly season for me, hence the lack of mode/monotone looks, but I'm loving the high-waisted denim, see-through, blouse, & spring poncho trends in this spread. It looks like floral is set to be a returning trend for this spring just like leopard was for this autumn/winter, so now I'm kind of regretting getting rid of all my floral-print pieces, haha... I guess that means I'll just have to re-shop ( Ｔ ▽ Ｔ )ノ＿彡☆バンバン！

On a side note, I haven't forgotten about the Dear Laura lash review~ I had to work today (my first Saturday of many more to come starting in February, buu  ToT) but I promise to get at least one done before the weekend is over!

Dear Laura Eyelashes

Last week I placed an order from iMomoko.com, which is like Ichibankao but based in the US. I was looking specifically for lashes & was able to get all of these for just a little over the price of ONE Dolly Wink pair (￣▼￣)ノ＿彡☆ばんばん！Not only that, I got my order in record time without having to wait a week (which is perfect for my impatient self, haha!)

These are all by the brand Dear Laura & actually don't look as cheap & plastic-y as I thought they would. The last photo shows the 2 pairs of lower lashes the brand offers, Glamourous (left) & Cute (right). I'm most excited to try these since I've been wanting to experiment with full lower lashes for a while, & I won't feel so bad messing up a cheap pair (Ｔ▽Ｔ)ノ＿彡☆ばんばん！

I also got a bunch of their new Soft lovely brown lash line~

These are so cute & in come in different 'animal' types~ I got the Rabbit, Bambi & Chiwawa lashes, haha ♡

Some Things Recently

After seeing all these gorgeous dark-haired beauties, I was inspired to try for dark hair again!  I don't know what it is about winter & dark hair, but it just seems to go together, no? ＼（★´−｀）人（´▽｀★）／ 

Aside from dyeing my hair again, I spent this weekend catching up on stuff I've been putting off~ specifically, cleaning, organising, blahblahblah (￣▼￣)ノ＿彡☆ばんばん！It felt good to be productive instead of just being my lazy self though~!

I also did a little self photoshoot for my UPCOMING APPEARANCE IN ELEANORZINE~~!!

I kind of wanted to keep this a surprise, but I'm so flattered that the wonderful & lovely Bianca of eggrolls for flowers  (who is the sole editor/designer/writer/everything btw!) chose me to be a part of her magazine & on the cover no less! Past cover girls have been Jenny of sushi-cat.net & Mitsu of Universal Doll, so to be considered a part of this group in an unbelievable honour ♥

I really love Mana's look~ it's so natural yet still sexy ♡ I also found it amusing that Maichi's look seems the simplest out of these 3 yet hers has the most product recommendations, haha
