Well we finally made it to Friday!! 

I'm hoping this weekend I can finally get out & TAN, since I feel like summer is quickly fading... Next weekend will already be the 'official' last weekend of the summer  (´Д｀。)

& saying that... 

IT'S TIME TO TALK ABOUT FALL HAIR~!

This year is the first year in a LONGGG time that I've played with my hair colour, & after trying so many shades until I finally got to my 'perfect' recent one, I'm surprised to find myself wanting to go back to dark hair for the autumn/winter. 

But not just boring black/brown/auburn hair~ I still want to do something dramatic & fun!

Here are some of the options I've been considering~

DARK BROWN WITH PLATINUM STREAKED SIDES

Some people might not be a fan of this look but I think it's such a cool take on two-tone hair. It will fit in well for my personal style plan for this fall too, which is heavily rock-kei influenced. I think even with this cut it's super-cute, but I'm not sure I want to give up my long hair just yet, haha!

HORIZONTAL GRADATION TWO-TONE

à la gorgeous MURUA producer Momoko Ogihara ミ☆

I especially like how the top colour is really similar to my natural super-dark brown/black hair so I wouldn't have to worry about root touch-ups so much キャハハ o(>▽▽<)o キャハ

 SUBTLE BLUE STREAKS
à la one of my favourite JELLY models, Mai Miyagi ミ☆

I actually got my current colour/style inspiration from Mai  ♥ I think this style might be just a trick of the lighting in this particular pic though, since her hair just looks brown in the rest of her blog pics, but I love the idea of some blue streaked through a rich brown colour. Subtle & perfect for not scaring away my ultra-conservative boss, haha! (￣▽￣)ノ＿彡☆バンバン！

 

 BLUNT HORIZONTAL TWO-TONE

This was originally the style I wanted to go with for this a/w, but now I'm considering other options (see above  ☆ﾐヾ(#`Д´))

So which style do you like best? 

I'm actually pretty heavily considering Lea's because it's not 'gal' & it's different, but Momoko's is also tempting!

Style Idol 夏海君の & Pop Gal

Today brings another style idol post, this time featuring the fabulously amazing 夏海君の/Saito Natsumi! ♥

 I actually got to know Natsumi through her crooz blog first & only recently found out that she's a model for Ranzuki, haha (●´艸｀)ヾ 

She has come WAY up my list of style idols recently because, like Chinatsu, she has an extremely developed sense of style, from hair, to make, to shoes & that's something I am trying to achieve for myself too.

She is also my personal queen of pop gal style! ★彡

As you can see, she's a huge fan of w♥c, JSG, ANAP, tutuHA & one*spo~ all great brands for pop gal! ♥

One of the other things I love about Natsumi is that she reuses lots of her items~ check those fabulous blue platform heels above ★＝(−.⌒) 

She's also a genius at accessorizing. Accessories are a HUGE part of any gal outfit & one that I fail in, haha, but they really put the POP in pop gal style (^o-)ミ☆パチッ！

 Check the Union Jack watch/bracelet & layered necklaces~ if anyone knows which brand that sunglasses necklace is, let me know! (=^^=)

 Loving the pink fox tail she attached to her bag, & yes, it's the same bag she's wearing in the purikura snap too~!

She's also a hat queen~

Natsumi also knows her hair & make, which always looks damn fabulous & complements her codes perfectly~

 Yesterday I got to see Inception finally after hearing so many good things about it, & it was just awesome! 

I love movies that make you think like that~ we all had different opinions of what was really happening & how it ended... So good!!

& of course it didn't hurt that it had one of the cutest guys in the entire world in it, haha~

Highkara Make & Stuff

Last night I went to the annual county fair (yes, I am well aware how country/lame that sounds! (●´艸｀)ヾ) & ATE SO MUCH JUNK FOOD!!

I'm only just now starting to feel better but it was well-worth it, haha! After all, how many times a year does a girl get to eat fresh-spun cotton candy? ♪(ﾟ▽^*)ﾉ⌒☆ 

 

Anyway, today I thought I would try a new make trend that I'm calling highkara aka high color which is totally a rip on the nickname of one of my favourite old JPOP bands HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR, haha ＼（○＾ω＾○）／

 

The September issue of Ranzuki had a great little tutorial on it that I used to create my look, but since there aren't any scans available, here are some blog pics from the lovely Manami Suzuki rocking the trend~

 & here is my attempt~

 Used: Hard Candy base shadow, Sally Girl Eyeshadows in Aqua & Purple Passion, Tokiodoki for Sephora Donutella Eyeliner, & Ardell #105 lashes

 

I used mascara on my bottom lashes to liven them up since I don't currently own any bottom lashes & I hate how it came out a bit clumpy  (´Д｀。)

 

Otherwise I'm really pleased with the result of this~! ♥

Definitely going to try it again when I have a bigger selection of bright colour eyeshadows & bottom lashes for sure, haha!

DIY w♥c Tiger T-Shirt

Before I start out with this actual post, I just wanted to give a HUGE THANK YOU to all of this blog's existing & new followers~!! ♪(ﾟ▽^*)ﾉ⌒☆

 

Thanks to all of you, I have reached 130 followers, which has more than surpassed the original goal of 100! I am so grateful to everyone who reads this & is able to share some of the joy I have in posting on here. 

 

This blog will always be a personal thing for me, but it is really nice to have others who share my interests & just enjoy living my little life with me through here, haha  (人´∀｀)．☆．。．:*･ 

 

There will MOST DEFINITELY be a giveaway now & I have a pretty sweet theme for it, but let's save that for another time!

 

Right now I want to talk about my first-ever DIY project  ＼（○＾ω＾○）／

 

I've been wanting to DIY something for a while now, but since I scraped by with a B- in art class & always had the shittiest arts & crafts projects at summer camp I didn't really trust myself to try anything, haha (●´艸｀)ヾ 

 

But after I happened across this photo from this cute w♥c staff-chan's crooz blog last night, I said to hell with my fears & went for it!

I went by this tutorial on YouTube since it was the first one that popped up on my Google search & it turned out to be super-easy! The video is a little drawn out though, so I thought I would just break it down on my own for everyone here~

 STEP 1.  GRAB A T-SHIRT & A PAIR OF SCISSORS.

Yep, that's it（≧∇≦）ぶぁっはっはっ！！

 STEP 2. FOLD THE T-SHIRT IN HALF, MAKING SURE THE SLEEVES LINE UP.

This was probably the trickiest part, since this t-shirt is made of thick material that kept bunching while I was folding it, but it was still relatively easy!

STEP 3.  WITH T-SHIRT FOLDED, CUT ABOUT AN INCH FROM THE SHOULDER SEAM.

Obviously this is the end product of this step~ I realise I should have taken a snap of my first cut to show it better, but I got carried away & just did it びゃははは (≧ω≦)ｂ

 

You can also judge for yourself how wide you want the shoulders to be~ I used an inch for reference & because it provides the best off shoulder look imho. The cut also doesn't have to be perfect~ I've learned that the imperfections help make it unique! ♥

I will be honest & say I felt a bit sacrilegious seeing the w♥c tag cut off after this step, but I figure I can just sew it back on & it'll be good as new, haha!
