キャハハ o(>▽▽<)o キャハハ
Today I wanted to do a different post, kind of like my style idol posts which I hope to make regularly on here~ MY BOOM! \(○^ω^○)/
For anyone who's like 'wtf is a boom??', basically it's anything that's trending (in this case with me personally) right now. It can be a style, an accessory, a makeup item, music, whatever. The word is usually used in reference to fashion though, especially in Japanese magazines.
So right now, my boom is... yea, you guessed it~ Morocco/ethnic style! ♪(゚▽^*)ノ⌒☆
If you've been reading this blog, you can tell I've been loving this trend like whoa. I first noticed ethnic style in the July issue of JELLY (one of my personal fashion bibles ❤), where it was being promoted as an upcoming 'next' trend~
I really loved JELLY's take on it~ just elements here & there to add an ethnic 'flair' to an outfit without looking like you're just going on vacation in Turkey, haha(≧∇≦)
nuts also did a mini-spread on the trend in the June issue, adding the 'Morocco' part~
I really wish the shots were clearer because the styling in this one is beautiful ❤ You can definitely see a more centralised version of the trend here, which borders on the kitschy vacation-in-Turkey but could also be perfect for a resort look.
The August issue of JELLY actually has my favourite take on the trend in a bigger spread, but unfortunately scans aren't out yet & I'm too anal with my magazines to scan it in myself, haha
(●´艸`)ヾ
Luckily there are lots of blog photos of gals rocking Morocco/ethnic style though~!
My girl Shizuka Takeda looking fabulous as usual~ definitely expect to see more of her in a future style idol post on here! ❤
Another of my favourite girls, Remi Sakamoto~
The ever-fabulous Aina Tanaka getting in on it~ love her bracelets!
Had to put Chie in twice because she rocks it so well~ sometimes it's a bit much though, but she's forgiven because of her super-gorgeous make, haha!
Natsuki Fukuzumi doing a more mode-kei look, but I think this could easily cross over into ethnic~
Rin looking fabulous as usual ❤
Emika's pop-ethnic look ❤
Although it's definitely over-the-top, I'm absolutely loving Riho Nishiyama's take~ that eyemake alone is TO DIE FOR. Definitely going to re-create the eyemake one day!
A quick note~ most of these photos came from agehabarbiedoll's amazing tumblr ❤ Please check it out if you love gorgeous gal spam 24/7!
& since I could never forget, the lovely Jasmine of Love, Peace & Lipstick gave me this ultra-sweet blog award \(○^ω^○)/
THANK YOU SO SO MUCH, BB~~!! ❤
I'm supposed to pass this award on to 15 other people, but I honestly can't think of anyone on my blogroll whose blog I DON'T love!
Ladies, please keep on being the gorgeous, amazing, inspiring gals you all are!
(*^・^)CHU〜☆
☆⌒(*^-゚)ノ~♪see you again♪~ヾ(゚-^*)⌒☆

Wow! You are leaving for the Big Apple so soon!! I bet you are so excited, me too! I hope you will share your travel experiences with us here on your blog^^/
I like the ethnic trend too, and it's so cute that you use the "my boom" phrase. It makes sense to me, even in a English sense. We use boom too.
I like to use ethnic style jewelry to add a mature touch to girly or pop outfits. Its beautiful and feminine without being too childish. Your post really reminds me I need to buy more ethnic jewelry. They have a lot of nice pieces at Paris Kid's.
I love Emika's pop ethnic style. But I agree that Riho is stunning with her dramatic red eye makeup!
Oh and I forgot to say, I'd like to see some photos of you wearing ethnic trend pieces! XD
I'm loving all of the beautiful prints & accessories that are coming along with this trend!
I saw my friend wearing ethnic bracelets and I'm loving it!
i love this style! this pics are a good inspiration for summer looks! thanks you!
You have a new follower! *3*
NYC is love :D
You work the ethnic style so well, it really compliments you
and I really like the yellow maxi featured in the scans too!
Emika has a lovely hair colour!!
Yes, I am BEYOND excited!! ♥ I haven't been since March so it'll be nice to be in the city in the summer so I can enjoy it more, haha~ I'll def try to take lots of photos!
Ethnic jewelry is the best. I love the big assorted bangles, but unfortunately they just fall off my arms so... *fail* ;o;
Emika is the cutest~ I could never get away with her style but she rocks it so well! ♥
I'll definitely do my best, haha! ;D ♥
The accessories really are the best! ♥ I have such a collection of head wraps because of it, haha~
I love the bracelets too~ wish I could wear them though ;o;
Awe, no problem! ♥ Thank you for checking out my blog~
It really is ♥ Can't wait to be there again!
& thank you so much! I do love it more than I've loved any other trend in a while~ I agree about the yellow dress too ♥
& yes, Emika is such a joy to look at :D
I love the fact ethnic or boho comes back year after year, just because it's such an eternal summer look!
It really is ♥ & it could just be me, but I feel like this year it's more 'dressed up' than it has been in past years~
Haha your holiday in Turkey comments made me laugh so much XD
I love the ethnic look and I really wish I could do it well. I just feel as though it should be reserved for taller gals. I say that, but you're the same height as me and you carry it off fine.
Glad I could amuse someone besides myself with that reference, haha! XD
Awe, I think you could carry it off just fine! Do I sense an ethnic coordinate challenge now? ;D j/k Thank you for the encouragement though ♥
I think you're right, like less peasant tops and more deep V neckline maxi dresses you could go out to dinner in!
My thoughts exactly~! ;D
Haha I'm not even going to sign up for that coz you'd outshine me easily XD
